About the artist

After a fairly solid school education, studied political science, sociology and newspaper studies at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich.

From 1974, studied social pedagogy at the Munich University of Applied Sciences; graduated as a social pedagogue in 1978

31 years as a social education worker with the City of Munich, Social Department, retired in 2011

In addition to receiving his pension, he works as a freelancer in home help for disadvantaged children and young people in Munich’s Hasenbergl district.

The desire to paint comes from the Bavarian Cancer Society’s  “OFFENE ATELIER” (Open studio workshop)

Married to HELENA, also an Irish artist

Exhibitions of his paintings in the Mohr-Villa in Munich, in the headquarters of the Bavarian Cancer Society and in the “Mehrgenerationenhaus” (multi-generation house) in the Munich estate “am Hart”.

A huge fan of Italy and Greece
