Matthew Owen Dyson

Matthew is a professional photographer and bush ranger in South Africa. He attended school in Sandton, Johannesburg. After graduating he moved to Pretoria for a 3-year Bcom course in Entrepreneurship. After completing his course he enrolled in a full-time Field Guide course with Africa Nature Training which was based in Sabi Sands at that time. He completed the course and continued his studies with a secondary trails guide qualification which took an additional 6 weeks qualifying him to do dangerous game walking safaris within Southern Africa.

He has worked at a few high-end lodges during his career, the first was at Sabi Sabi in Sabi sands for 2 years moving on to doing free-lance work for lodges for a further year and a half which included Chitwa Chitwa, Simbambili, Thornybush River Lodge (now known as Saviti), Thornybush Game Lodge and Amani Safari Lodge. Recommended for his outstanding work, he was offered a permanent position at Thornybush River Lodge for a further year and a half.

Currently, Matthew is working as a professional photographer/Videographer for exclusive business clients focusing on high-end real estate, exotic cars, and events.
