On Friday, April 12, 2024, the final of the band contest “Soundcheck in der LUISE” will take place at the Stadtteilkulturzentrum LUISE in Munich’s Sendling district!

“From a record-breaking 65 applications, the expert jury has selected four finalists who will present their songs on the LUISE stage from 20:00. The final evening promises a very varied mix with a high musical standard.”

Ira Blazejewska’s Dystopianern project is an innovative, electro-acoustic chanson show-concert that is musically and thematically unique. The chanson is catapulted into modern times. Ira B. follows the musical spirit of Le Chat Noir, the first cabaret artistique in Paris. Musically, tradition and modernity mix, complement or cancel each other out and in turn create something new: Manouche Gypsy Swing, Klezmer and Balkan sounds meet electro house, chanson merges with hip-hop; Neue Deutsche Welle meets atonal 12-tone music, a string quartet is electronically alienated, looped, chopped up and modulated, only to be transformed into danceable electro-pop sounds.
