David Dobbs
Born in the small town of Ballymoney, Northern Ireland, David Dobbs, in his own words, learned very quickly the art of being Irish. During his school years, the family moved to Leyland, near Manchester in England, where, after graduating from high school, he began studying engineering, he completed his studies at Johannesburg College in South Africa after the family had emigrated there. A technically proficient and skilled engineer, he initially qualified as a truck mechanic. After a few years of working as a mechanic, he decided to leave his parents’ home and return to England to try something new. After moving to Germany a few years later, he worked as a language trainer and content manager.
While studying computer technology at a college in England, he began writing poetry and discovered his passion for sketching and photography. His poems evolved into short stories and the sketches became paintings. His love for photography continued as he moved towards nature and fine art photography. By using different perspectives to capture images from various angles and incorporating everyday objects into his work, he has become “world famous” in Holzkirchen – describing himself with a twinkle in his eye.
It should also be mentioned that he has an interesting sense of humour and is very good at writing texts and articles for websites.
