The Artist

Liza Reich was born in 1975 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. From 1991-1995 she studied at the P. P. Benkov Art College in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, specialising in design. In 1998 she graduated from the Academy of Arts for Theatre, Design and Painting with a specialisation in stage design. From 2000-2003 Liza Reich completed her first studies in Germany at the Academy of Fine Arts with Prof. Axel Kasseböhmer in Munich. Since 2005 Liza Reich has been a master student with Prof. Anke Doberauer. In 2007 she studied with Prof. Anke Doberauer at the Academy in Munich. She then completed postgraduate studies at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich in the subject “Visual Design and Therapy”. Liza Reich observes current, contemporary developments and tendencies with meticulousness and an alert eye. An essential feature of her work is the precise, in-depth observation of the emergence of a situation and the resulting spontaneous capture of the moment, which presents itself to the viewer as an impression. Liza Reich lives with her husband in Munich.
